About Adam:


Adam Block is Senior Vice President/General Manager, Legacy Recordings. He oversees all aspects of Legacy's operations. Adam joined Legacy Recordings in 1992 as Director, Marketing. During his tenure with the company he has played a key role in the creative direction and marketing of an enormous range of successful Legacy releases and product lines, including the historic and multi-GRAMMY Award winning , 12-year-long Miles Davis box set series, and the groundbreaking "Rhythm & Soul series"; the label's critically acclaimed Legacy Edition Series and the best selling Essentials series; and such box sets as Louis Armstrong's Portrait of The Artist As A Young Man; Peter Tosh: Honorary Citizen; Neil Diamond's In My Lifetime; Santana's Dance Of The Rainbow Serpent; and Ken Burns Jazz: The Story Of America's Music. He was also involved in the marketing of Sony Music Entertainment's comprehensive celebration of its role in the history of recorded music, Sony Music 100 Years: Soundtrack For A Century. Adam began his career in 1988 as Staff Writer and Photographer for EMI Records’ Press and Publicity department. In 1990 he was named Product Manager, Marketing for EMI Records and in 1991 was promoted to Manager, Catalog Development and Marketing. Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Vassar College.
